The weather in Bhopal and surrounding areas is expected to remain clear with haze for the next 24 hours, according to the latest forecast from the Meteorological Department. The maximum temperature is predicted to reach 26°C, while the minimum temperature will settle around 9°C. Average wind speeds are expected to be between 10-12 kmph.
Maximum temperatures has risen above normal in parts of Narmadapuram by 2.2°C recording 28.1°C and Mandla division by 5.4°C. recorded 29.4°C.
Minimum temperatures have shown a noticeable increase in Indore, Narmadapuram, and Ujjain divisions, while they have fallen below normal in Bhopal division. Dense fog has been observed in Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Datia, and Nivari districts. Shallow to moderate fog has been reported in several other regions of Neemuch, Shivpuri, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Satna, Rewa and Singrauli.
According to the IMD, highest temperature recorded was 29.4°C in Mandla and lowest recorded 4.5°C in Kalyanpur (Shahdol).
Visibility has been significantly reduced in some areas, with zero visibility recorded at Gwalior Airport and 50 meters visibility at Khajuraho Airport.
A cyclonic circulation persists over central Pakistan, extending up to 9.4 km above mean sea level. Located over west Rajasthan, with a trough extending toward the north-east Arabian Sea. Strong winds of up to 240 kmph are prevailing over North India at 12.6 km above mean sea level. A fresh western disturbance is expected to affect north-west India from the night of January 14.
Isolated rain or drizzle with thunderstorms is expected in Betul, Harda, Khandwa, Neemuch, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur,
Katni, Chhindwara, Seoni, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari, and Pandhurna districts. Hailstorms may occur at isolated places in Betul, Harda, Khandwa, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari, and Pandhurna districts. Moderate fog is expected in Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, and Maihar districts. Dense fog conditions are likely to impact visibility, particularly in Gwalior and surrounding districts. Travellers are advised to exercise caution, especially near airports with visibility concerns. Stay updated with weather alerts and prepare for isolated thunderstorms or hailstorms in the regions.
