National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) state unit has launched its membership drive at state Congress party office Rajiv Bhawan in the state capital on Saturday.
Addressing a press conference at state Congress party office Rajiv Bhawan in the state capital on Saturday, NSUI State President Neeraj Pandey said that the membership drive of the NSUI is being conducted in the state from January 11 to 26.
The NSUI state unit has targeted to join around one lakh new members in the state.
State President Neeraj Pandey informed that under the membership drive, NSUI officials will visit every college campus of the state and try to connect the students with the organisation. Along with this, the NSUI officials will discuss with the
students to know their problems and they will raise before the administration.
For this, responsibility has been assigned
to workers at college and university level, said the NSUI President.
He said that the NSUI would start series of protests against Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai-led BJP government in the state from February 1.
The BJP government in the state has completed its one-year tenure but the BJP government has not fulfilled its promises,
he added.
State Congress In-charge General Secretary Malkit Singh Gaindu, National Secretary Honey Bagga, State Vice President Amit Sharma, General Secretary (Organisation) Hemant Pal, Media Chairman Sankalp Mishra, District President Shantanu Jha, Prashant Goswami, Ankit Pandey, Sanskar Pandey and others were present in the press conference.
