Padmagandha Sahitya Pratishthan honoured Ravindra Prabhudesai, Managing Director of Pitambari Group with ‘Jivan Gaurav Puraskar’ and Dr Dixit was the chief guest of the event
“Maharashtrian entrepreneurs or businessmen in the country should come forward to create job opportunities, specially in their native villages to add economic value to their community,” said Dr Prakash Dixit, Director, Dicksons Engineering Company here on Sunday.
Dr Dixit made this statement during a felicitation function conducted by Padmagandha Sahitya Pratishthan at Shaktipeeth, Ram Nagar.
Padmagandha Sahitya Pratishthan honoured Ravindra Prabhudesai, Managing Director of Pitambari Group with ‘Jivan Gaurav Puraskar’ and Dr Dixit was the chief guest of the event.
While talking about Prabhudesai, Dr Dixit said, “He created jobs in his native village in Konkan. He gave priority to employing villagers in production section of his company. Today, Pitambari is a well-known product not only in Maharashtra but also in other states and it happened due to unique decisions of Deopujari.”
While presiding over the event, Dr Pankaj Chande, former Vice Chancellor, Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University (KKSU) said, “In current global scenario, every Hindu businessman world-wide should show unity and work for development of the country. No matter where you are, a Maharashtrian, Punjabi, Gujarati or Marwadi entrepreneur, the unity among you all as a Hindu is needed for India’s progress.”
Dr Chande appreciated the work of Prabhudesai and his commitment to developing his business from grassroots. “Today, Pitambari Group is a brand which is known in every middle class home. Prabhudesai’s connect with villagers was the master stroke and every Hindu businessman should work like this for progress of the country,”
Prabhudesai was honoured with a cash prize, memento, shawl, bouquet, citation and a memento. While expressing gratitude, Prabhudesai said, “Appreciation and recognition pushes you to do better. This award is a motivation for me to do more hard work for the society and the country.”
Prabhudesai also shared his success story with the audience. He explained how he multiplied his business with determination and hard work. In the beginning, Prabha Deoskar, renowned theatre artist conducted the proceedings. Sudarshan Shende, CEO, Vithoba Danta Manjan; Narendra Jog, Director, Jog Caterers; Dr Satish Deopujari; and Shubhangi Bhadbhade, President, Padmagandha Sahitya Pratishthan also shared the dais. Dignitaries shared their views about the awardee. Renuka Dixit proposed a vote of thanks.
