World’s largest 3D rangoli of Swami Vivekanand enters Golden Book of World Records

As against southern state Tamil Nadu, where Rangoli ‘Kolam’ took a political turn and become a tool of protest some around a few years ago, in Madhya Pradesh this traditional decorative art put up in front of homes in the mornings as a token of auspicious event has achieved new heights.
It has officially being recognised in the state and earned name in the book of world record due to its size spanning an impressive 18,000 square feet and a large number of arists participation. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav too showed his artistic prowess and participated in the creation of the world’s largest 3D Rangoli.
On the occasion of National Youth Day, marking the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand, a special event was organised in State capital where this masterpiece rangoli was carved at Shaurya Smarak on Sunday. During Diwali festival too, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav had tried his hands in creating Rangoli.
Notably in Tamil Nadu, DMK carried out Anti-CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) rangoli campaign across the the State. Chennai police had detained a group of women were booked for drawing rangoli on the streets to voice their protest against the new citizenship statute.
In a slew of registering name in Golden Book of Records, State has achieved the tag for largest Rangoli. The State has already gained the title for playing ‘Damaru’ in Ujjain. During Tansen Sangeet Samaroh 546 musicians performed together in Gwalior etc.
The programme started with offering prayer and respect before the statue of Bharat Mata.
CM Dr Yadav praised and congratulated the team of artists for their skills and achievement on his official ‘X’ handle saying “Our young daughters have remarkable skills and incomparable art! Today, on the occasion of Swami Vivekanand Jayanti, celebrated as ‘Youth Day,’ paid floral tributes to the statue of Mother Bharati at Shaurya Smarak, Bhopal.
