A sex racket was busted by the Social Security Branch (SSB) of the City Police, and rescued two women. The racket was operating under the guise of a massage parlour in Byramji Town area. The arrested accused has been identified as Bhavesh Udaysingh Gedam (29), a resident of Plot No. 62, Shashikant Gurhnirman Society, Gorewada Road. According to police, Gedam was operating a body massage parlour under the name Bits Unisex Professional Saloon and Massage Parlour located at JP Height, First Floor, Gondwana Square.
 
Acting on a tip-off, the SSB team sent a decoy who negotiated a deal for Rs 15,000. After receiving the signal from the decoy, the police raided the parlour and found two women. Gedam was arrested and the women were rescued. Police seized Rs 39,610 cash from the parlour. A case has been registered under Section 143(3) of the BNS, along with Sections 4, 5, and 7 of PITA. Under the guidance of DCP Detection Rahul Maknikar, the arrest was made by Sr. WPI Kavita Isarkar, API Shivaji Nanware, and other staff members, including Ajay Paunikar, Ashwin Mange, Kunal Masram, Nitin Wasne, Aarti Chavan, and other police personnel.
