The prize distribution ceremony of Nagpur Garden Club’s Annual Flower Show 2025 in association with ‘The Hitavada’ was held at Nagpur Garden Club Office, Civil Lines, on Sunday. Dr Parineeta Fuke, ex-corporator, was the chief guest. Anuja Parchure, President of Club, Aasawari Shenolikar, Deputy Editor ‘The Hitavada’, Kedar Gokhale, Chairman of Flower Show Committee, were prominently present during the ceremony. The club members Shrikant Doifode, Nitin Datey, Tanmay Godghate, Atulchandra Mendhekar, Aarti Rajkondawar, Ramesh Madnani, Lata Andhare, Dr Sunita Sharma, Padma Deshraj, Rajashree Bapat, and Dr Ashok Pathak also were present. National Academy of Defence Production (NADP) won maximum prizes in the show. It also won five running trophies, including NMC Silver Jubilee Trophy for highest combined points, Nagpur Garden Club (NGC) Trophy for maximum aggregate points in Dahlias, seasonals, annuals, and other cut flowers including pots, and Late Shri Arun Gijre Memorial Trophy.
 
Mansoora Zahoor Hasan emerged first runner up and won four running trophies, including NGC Trophy (open to individuals only) for winning the highest combined points in flower show and private garden competitions, NGC Trophy for winning aggregate points in Gladioli (Division II) , IAF Maintenance Command Trophy for HT King of Roses, Shri K K Thakur Memorial cash prize, and NGC for HT Queen of Roses. Raj Bhavan was the second runner up and won Shri K K Thakur Memorial Shield for big institutional, housing society gardens. MMP Industries Limited, Umred won three NGC Trophies for Samrat of Indian Varieties, Queen of Floribundas and Queen of Miniature Roses, and Shrimati Ramabai Shastri Memorial Trophy for Indian variety of Roses. Nadeem Rehman won NGC Trophy for maximum points in cacti and succulents. Gurpreet Singh won NGC Trophies for maximum points in Roses and for HT Princess of Roses. M R Tijare won NGC Trophies for King of Floribundas and for King of Miniature Roses. Signum Fire Protection won two NGC Trophies for Samradini of Indian Variety and for HT Prince of Roses.
 
Vikram Singh Parihar won Late Mrs Khadija Hussain Memorial Trophy for maximum points in the group of Bonsai plants, and Shriram Bhandarkar Memorial Trophy for highest in the group of Bonsai plants. Sagar Pitale won Shri Sadanand Dhote Trophy for big private garden, Madhuri Deo won Dass Jewellers Trophy for small private garden, and Gunjan Khandelwal won NGC Trophy for private terrace garden.
 
Shweta Wandhre won Shrimati Ramkali Devi Sharma Trophy for Ikebana and Mihir Kulkarni won Mrs Lata Vyawahare Trophy for flower arrangement for children between 8 to 15 years. Sharad Paliwal, Past President, sponsored a special appreciation award to Samit Admane for being faculty of maximum number of workshops organised by the Club this year. Prashant Telang, Rashmi Kanugo, VNIT, Naresh Bisen, Lukesh Warhokar, Manisha Kulkarni, Vandana Agrawal, Shivaji Wandhre, Loya Bagri and Company, Avanti Mudle, Dhanesh Admane, Dr Sunil Pathak, School of Scholars, Snehal Dabke, Gauri Gawate, BVM Civil Lines, Tip Top Convent, BVM Trimurti Nagar, RS Mundle School, Global Indian International School Lava, also won prizes. Swati Gokhale conducted the programme’s proceedings.
