IN a special initiative under Prime Minister’s Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) Scheme, 485 primary students of Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1, Raipur, visited the Urja Park in Raipur for an educational trip. The visit was held under the supervision of all primary teachers and led by school Principal Ashok Kumar Chandrakar, and Headmistress Sanjulika James. Students explored models of renewable energy sources like solar energy, wind energy and hydro energy, learning about their functionality.
 
The exhibits at the Urja Park provided students with a deep understanding of the importance of energy conservation and environmental sustainability. Chandrakar emphasised that such educational trips under the PM SHRI Scheme play a crucial role in enhancing the practical knowledge of students and developing a scientific outlook in them. Teachers guided the students throughout trip, explaining significance of energy sources in engaging and effective ways. Students also participated in various activities furthering awareness of sustainable energy use and conservation.
