CENTRAL Railways (CR), Mumbai rattled Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai by four points (44-40) to clinch the All India Railways Men’s Kabaddi title at South East Central Railway Sports Association’s Indoor Stadium in Motibagh on Monday. In a high-stake final, ICF dominated the first half and maintained a 4 point lead. At half-time they led 25-21. However, CR fought hard against the set backs to finally turn the tables over ICF and get back a 4 point lead before the full-time to win the title.
 
Tarun Prakash, General Manager, South East Central Railways (SECR) graced the closing ceremony while Meenakshi Sharma, President of SECR Women’s Welfare Organisation was the guest of honour. In the semi-finals, North Eastern Railways (NER) Gorakhpur were defeated by Central Railway (CR) Mumbai (37-23) while Integral Coach Factory (ICF) Chennai ousted Northern Railways (NR) Delhi 10 (35-25) points. Ajinkya Pawar of CR Mumbai was chosen as the Best Raider of the Tournament and was awarded with a laptop, while Best Catcher of the Tournament was Abhinesh Natarajan of the ICF, Chennai, he went home with a 50-inch LED TV. The title for the Best Player of the Tournament went to Pankaj Mohite of CR Mumbai and was entitled to an EV bike.
