In honor of the 300th birth anniversary of Ahilya Devi Holkar, more than 1400 lectures were held across Madhya Pradesh from January 1 to January 18. The lectures were organized by the Vidya Bharati Alumni Association, Madhya Bharat Region, in over 1,400 government schools, private schools, and coaching institutes. Ahilya Devi Holkar, known for her exceptional leadership, social welfare, and strategic skills, is remembered as a remarkable ruler. She is celebrated for her contributions to restoring pilgrimage sites, building temples, and promoting justice and social harmony. These lectures, led by former Vidya Bharati students, focused on her life’s inspiring stories, her commitment to justice, environmental preservation, and her governance.

Nikhilesh Maheshwari, the regional organizational secretary of Vidya Bharati, recently authored a book titled Rashtra Sevika Maa Ahilyabai Holkar, which delves into her life and achievements. He highlighted that Ahilya Bai not only protected India's cultural and spiritual heritage but also demonstrated qualities such as valor, sensitivity, impartial governance, and a strong commitment to Hindu values.

The lectures aimed to educate the youth about Ahilya Devi Holkar’s legacy and values, connecting them with her ideals of leadership, social equality, and self-rule. The former Vidya Bharati students, who are also active in social services like health, education, and environmental conservation, played a key role in spreading awareness about her life and contributions. Ashutosh Gupta, the regional head of the Vidya Bharati Alumni Association, emphasized that these lectures provided an opportunity to introduce the public to the various facets of Ahilya Bai’s leadership and influence, leaving a lasting impact on the youth and the community.
