Highlighting that entrepreneurship is deep-rooted in the India culture, Dr Manmohan Vaidya, All India Executive Member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, on Sunday said that the country’s economy was not solely dependent on agriculture even in the ancient period. “Since ancient times, it has been highlighted that India is an agricultural country. But it is partially true. There were many small industries and businesses in every where in the country. Though agriculture was prosperous, people belonging to all sections of the society were entrepreneurs. That is why our country is not of agriculturists but it is land of entrepreneurs.
We should tell this to every one,” he said while addressing the fourth triennial one-day convention of the Canara Bank Retired Employees Organisation organised here at the Maharshi Vyas Auditorium in the Dr Hedgewar Smriti Bhavan premises in Reshimbagh. Dr Manmohan Vaidya was the keynote speaker at the inaugural session of the convention.

It has never robbed anyone. It is a country that accepts all types of worship methods and prays for world welfare. During the Corona period, when only the Government machinery was working in other countries, millions of people in India were on the streets helping each other,” he said.
The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, which was established from scratch, has completed seventy years. In these seventy years, this organisation has become the number one labour organisation in the world. The National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Ravindra Himte, expressed his determination that the Indian labour union, which believes in the nation first, will always fight for the rights of the employees.
