Ramtek Cultural Festival to boost heritage and tourism opportunities: Adv Jaiswal

Ramtek Cultural Festival will contribute to the cultural heritage of Ramtek and also expand tourism opportunities. The festival was launched by the then Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, last year after observing the need to promote the cultural heritage of Ramtek to the masses, said State Minister Adv Ashish Jaiswal on Wednesday.
The festival was inaugurated by Minister Jaiswal and former MLA Anand Deshmukh. SDO Ramtek Priyesh Mahajan, Deputy Director of the Tourism Department Prashant Savai, DIO Vinod Rapatwar, Tehsildar Ramesh Kolpe, and CO Nitin Lunge were present on the dais.
Minister Jaiswal further stated that there are ample opportunities for tourism in Ramtek, as the city boasts a rich cultural heritage and vast natural resources. The 400-year-old Ram Mandir, the 1200-year-old Kapur Bawadi, the Pench Tiger Project, and the area's lakes are significant tourist attractions. He also assured that he is committed to the all-round development of Ramtek.
Beautiful performance of Ramayana
The performance of the epic “Jai Shri Ram - Ramayana,” written, produced, and directed by noted actor Puneet Issar, thrilled the devotees. The audience enjoyed the performance, which included 13 original songs, set designs, live background music, LED screens, Kathak dance performances,
and live action scenes with fights. Puneet Issar played the role of
Ravana, Siddhant Issar played Ram, and Vindu Dara Singh played Hanuman.

Shri Ram bhajan
On the one-year anniversary of the installation of the Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya, Bhajan singer Shehnaz Akhtar performed devotional songs in her beautiful voice in Ramtek. She shared that she has been coming to Ramtek since childhood and became a singer with the blessings of Lord Ram. She sings songs like “Ram Aayenge,” “Mangal Bhavan Amangal,” and “Ujain Me Har Rang Ke Diwane.”
Good response to swimming competition
Participants aged 6 to 56 took part in a swimming competition held as part of the festival. The competition took place at the Nagar Parishad swimming pool. It was inaugurated by Tehsildar Ramesh Kolpe and others.
