Partial water supply disruptions continue due to tank cleaning

 

 

 

Following the partial disruption of evening water supply due to cleaning at the Raipura overhead tank on January 23, similar disruptions are expected for areas served by the Sarona overhead tank on January 24, 2025. The Raipur Municipal Corporation’s waterworks department completed the scheduled cleaning of the 2500 kilolitre Raipura overhead tank. After the regular morning water supply, the tank underwent seal cleaning, chemical treatment, chamber cleaning, and painting.

 

The agency Satguru was contracted for this work, which took place between 9 AM and 2 PM. As a result, the evening water supply from the Raipura overhead tank was partially affected on January 23. On Friday, January 24, 2025, the same cleaning process will be carried out at the Sarona overhead tank. Consequently, the evening water supply from the Sarona overhead tank will also be partially affected. Water supply from other overhead tanks in Raipur city will remain normal.
