CIIMS recognised as ICMR

The Central India Institute of Medical Sciences (CIIMS) Advanced Research Centre (ARC) announced its recognition as an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Collaborating Centre of Excellence in Diagnostics, Research, and Innovation. With this accolade, CIIMS ARC cements its position as a leading hub for medical research and advanced diagnostic services in Central India. The announcement was celebrated in presence of Pravin Tapadia, Chairman of CIIMS; Dr Lokendra Singh, Director of CIIMS; Prof H F Daginawala, Former Director of Research at CIIMS; and Dr Rajpal Singh Kashyap, Director of Research at CIIMS.
 
The event also recognised contributions of Dr Amit Nayak, Payal Khulhule, Rima Biswas, Jayshree Shukla, and others. Dr Kashyap expressed his gratitude and stated, “This recognition is a result of commitment to innovation, collaboration, and driving meaningful change in global healthcare.” The achievement empowers CIIMS ARC to combat global health issues such as antimicrobial resistance (AMR), zoonotic infections, neuroinfectious disorders, and other emerging public health concerns. Key objectives include strengthening collaborations with leading national and international institutions, capacity-building efforts, training and knowledge sharing, AI-powered diagnostics, and the One Health approach. This recognition reflected CIIMS ARC’s ongoing partnerships with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.
