off-spinner Ganesh Bhosle bowled his heart out but Rajasthan batsmen applied themselves to the task of building the innings on opening day of their four-day CK Nayudu Trophy Group league match at the VCA’s Kalamna ground on Saturday.
 
At close of play, Rajasthan, who elected to bat, had made 282-4 with their captain Karan Lamba going great guns on an unbeaten 114. Lamba, who came in at the fall of the second wicket, shared a 130-run partnership with opener
 
 
Sachin Yadav for the third wicket. Sachin was unlucky to miss his century as he was dismissed by Ganesh for 96 which came off 210 deliveries with 13 boundaries. Lamba, who batted for nearly 5 hours, has so far played 191 deliveries and hit four boundaries and four sixes. Keeping Lamba company was M Choudhary (26*). Ganesh, who finished the day with figures of 3-66, took his individual tally to 30 wickets in the tournament this season.
