The 76th Republic Day will be celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor across the Bhopal Division of West Central Railway. The main event will take place on January 26, 2025 (Sunday) at the sports ground in Habibganj Railway Colony, where Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Devashish Tripathi will hoist the national flag at 9:15 AM. Following the flag unflurs, the DRM will take the salute, inspect the parade, and read the message from the General Manager of West Central Railway.
 
The celebrations will continue with a march-past by the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Scouts and Guides, followed by cultural performances. Additionally, Tripathi will conduct flag hoisting at the Railway Institute Bhopal at 10:45 AM, at the Social Welfare Center Bhopal at 11:55 AM, and at the Boat Club Bhopal (on Hill Stelian) at 1:30 PM. Assembly Elections In light of Republic Day and the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections, the Bhopal Division has put in place special security arrangements to ensure the safety and convenience of passengers. Stringent security measures have been implemented across major stations, including Bhopal, with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) working together to monitor and ensure safety. RPF officers and staff, along with security personnel, are conducting thorough patrols and checks across platforms, circulating areas, waiting rooms, booking offices, foot over-bridges (FOBs), parking areas, and outer station areas. Key Security Efforts: Surveillance of Suspicious Activities: Intensive monitoring is being carried out to prevent irregular or suspicious activities, Use of Security Equipment: High-tech security measures, including Hand-Held Metal Detectors (HHMD), SWAN teams, bag checks, and explosives and flammable materials screening, are being implemented, CCTV Surveillance: CCTV cameras at major stations are being used to monitor suspicious individuals and crowd movements, Patrolling in Sensitive Areas: Increased patrols and security marches are taking place on platforms, in outer areas, and aboard trains to ensure safety. These heightened security measures aim to provide passengers with a safe and secure travel experience during the Republic Day celebrations.
