DOCTORS at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Nagpur, successfully removed a rare and aggressive adrenal tumour measuring around 6 cm—about the size of an egg—from the adrenal gland of an 82-year-old female patient through minimally invasive, robot-assisted surgery.
The patient, who had been experiencing hypertension and pain in the left abdomen, accidentally discovered she had adrenocortical carcinoma during a routine health check-up.
A tumour was detected through an ultrasound of the abdomen, and further examinations confirmed that the tumour was cancerous.
This successful procedure highlights the advanced surgical capabilities at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Nagpur, and underscores the hospital’s commitment to providing cutting-edge healthcare solutions for complex medical cases.
