The 76th Republic Day will be celebrated across the district with great fervour and enthusiasm on January 26. The district’s main celebration will take place at the Police Line Parade Ground, where Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh will hoist the national flag at 9 am and take the salute at the parade. He will also read out the Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s message to the people of the State. The event will feature an impressive march-past and a display of various tableaux by government departments showcasing their achievements and schemes. School children will perform engaging cultural programs to mark the occasion. Collector Deepak Saxena has urged citizens to celebrate Republic Day with excitement and pride.
 
Chief guest will honour officers and employees with certificates of appreciation for their exceptional contributions. Adequate seating arrangements have been made at the venue for freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, dignitaries, officials, journalists and the general public. Comprehensive security measures have also been put in place at the ceremony site. On Republic Day, the national flag will be hoisted at national monuments, government buildings, offices, and educational institutions across the district. In addition to the district headquarters, celebrations will also take place at sub-divisional, tehsil, block, urban body and gram panchayat levels, where the National Flag will be hoisted with due honour. The district administration has called upon all citizens to celebrate Republic Day with zeal and enthusiasm, reflecting the spirit of unity and patriotism.
