NUTAN Bharat Vidyalaya and Shaurya Sports Academy clinched the team championships in the boys and girls categories respectively in the mallakhamb competition of the Khasdar Krida Mahotsav on Saturday.
The event was held at Bapu Nagar Bhande Plot.
Nutan Bharat Vidyalaya, Nagpur, secured the championship in boys category with the highest score of 73.65 points. Keshavnagar High School claimed the runners-up position with 71.75 points, while Shaurya Sports Academy stood third with 68.23 points
Institute (98.35) and Nutan Bharat Vidyalaya (86.97) took second and third places respectively.
Vedant Suryavanshi and Shalmali Surjikar were adjudged the best players in the boys and girls categories respectively with both winning gold medals.
Vansh Kulurkar and Atharv Badiye won silver and bronze in the boys category, while Sanskruti and Ovi Khude secured silver and bronze in the girls category.

clinch gold medals
SHRIPAT Burde and Revati Lokhande clinched gold medals in the walking events for senior citizens at VNIT on Saturday.
Burde, Lokhande took home the gold winning the 1km walk in the above 80 years category.
Burde was followed by Madhukar Pathak and Madhukar Bhooche at the second and third places. Asha Dahate was second in the women’s category.
Ex-MLA Sudhakar Kohale distributed the prizes. Dr Piyush Ambulkar, Sachin Deshmukh, Ashfaque Shaikh, Prakash Chandrayan, Ram Korke and others were present on the occasion.
Other medal winners in different categories include — Suresh Sharma, Ulhas Shinde, Vitthal Bante, Ramchandra Kandalwar, Devidas Niwal, Doma Chafle, Sunita Suryawanshi, Indira Bhoyar, Chandrakanta Harinkhede, Seema Pawar, Pravina Kalambe, Hansa Vyas.
Application invited for Khasdar Krida Bhushan awards
THE Khasdar Krida Mahotsav organising committee has invited application for Khasdar Krida Bhushan awards. Last date for application is January 31. All those eligible candidates who wish to apply must submit the form at KKM office, Glocal Mall, Sitabuldi. The award consists of Rs 31,000 in cash and a memento. The awards are strictly for Nagpurians. Those who have received the award earlier, need not apply
