Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has declared results of its 1,013 Winter-2024 examinations within 30 days. RTMNU conducted 1,221 examinations and declared results of 1,013. So, results of 82% exams are out. Some results have been out in less than 20 days of the end of examinations. The announcement of the result of only one examination was delayed due to some technical reason. The examinations started in October 2024 and concluded without a hitch on December 31. Some examinations were cancelled on two days only -- because of convocation and due to CTET examination. Some results are pending because the practical examinations of most of those were conducted in January 2025. Most Under Graduate examinations (BA, B.Sc, B.com) were the first ones held after implementation of New Education Policy (NEP).

For these NEP examinations, university had to create new templates and use new type of scrutiny. Results of these examinations will likely be delayed. Sharing statistics, Dr Sanjay Kavishwar, Director of Board of Examinations and Evaluation, RTMNU, said, “We have declared results of 483 examinations in 26-30 days, 391 results in 21 to 25 days. We succeeded in announcing the results of 139 examinations in less than 20 days. The results of the examinations remaining include some examinations of Post Graduate courses, some examinations held after the implementation of NEP, the ones whose practicals were conducted in this month. I have updated Vice-Chancellor Dr Prashant Bokare with this development who asked me to work harder and get other results declared by January 31. Our team is constantly working on evaluation so we can increase the speed.”

Dr Prashant Bokare told ‘The Hitavada’, “Result is an important component. It has a relation with students’ future. I have specifically asked Examination and Result Department to work faster so that no student should suffer because of delay. I have asked our Examination Department to declare results of revaluation immediately. Normally, the results of revaluation are announced when the next examination begins. That late declaration results in students losing the year. I have instructed Examination Department to help students feel relieved immediately. Delay in results adds to students’ sufferings. Some students wish to take admission to the courses of higher education fail to do so if results are delayed.”
