Shahdol’s promising young boxer, Avantika Namdev has brought pride to the region by winning a gold medal at the 69th State-Level School Boxing Championship held in Gwalior. With this victory, she has secured a place in the upcoming National Boxing Championship, scheduled to be held in October in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. Avantika is a Class 10 student of Brighton International School, Shahdol. This was the first time a team from the Shahdol division’s Education Department participated in the state-level boxing competition.
 
Avantika’s outstanding performance ensured that the debut was nothing short of remarkable. In the final bout, Avantika displayed excellent confidence, agility, and strength to outclass her opponent and clinch the gold. Her dominance in the ring stood out throughout the tournament and proved that she is ready for the bigger stage. Her selection for the national-level competition means she will now represent not just Shahdol but the entire Madhya Pradesh in the ring. Her dedication and hard work have set an example for aspiring athletes across the region. Avantika’s journey so far reflects what can be achieved with the right mix of talent, discipline, and opportunity. The upcoming national championship will be a significant platform for her to showcase her skills and take another step forward in her sporting career.
