A gambling den operating at the residence of a BJP leader in Bajag, was busted by police. On the instructions of the SP, Dindori, teams from two different police stations raided the site, arresting 13 gamblers and recovering over Rs 45,000 rupees in cash. 13 mobile phones and two four-wheeler vehicles were also seized from the spot. It has been reported that online transactions were also ongoing along with the cash, but this has not been disclosed due to technical reasons. It has been reported that gamblers from Gardasari and Chhattisgarh visited this gambling den, which the Bajag police were aware of. However, the Bajag police station in-charge allegedly maintained a distance from action. Political interference has been cited as one reason for this.

Pramod Sahu is the BJP Mandal Vice President. Serious cases like betting and illegal liquor storage have been registered against him in the past. But the leader, owning nexus with influential, has been continuously committing allegedly illegal acts. It is alleged that those police personnels taking action on him, were on his radar and he hatched a conspiracy to remove them by filing false complaints against them. Since long, higher authorities were receiving complaints about the operation of gambling dens in Bajag. In view of this, on the instructions of S.P Vahini Singh, a joint team of Gardasarai and Karanjia police raided the house of BJP Mandal Vice President Pramod Sahu located on Chada Road late and carried out the action without coming under any pressure.

Surprisingly, even the Bajag police did not get information about Operation 52. During the raid, police arrested Tansingh, , Akash Baghel, Pramod Sahu, Pawan Kant, Aawar Alvi, Vicky Kumar Sahu, Ajit Kumar, Kailash Kumar, Dhanendra Gupta, Priyadas Kurre, Manharan Sahu, Saraisen, Lal Bahadur, Satyanarayan Sahu. CG09JM1622 owned by Pramod Sahu, one motor cycle number MP52MB 1939 owned by Pawan Kant Khande, one car number CG 10EQ 9129 owned by Ajit Sahu, have also been seized.
