The Chhattisgarh Cabinet has decided to provide one-time relaxation in the provisions of the Recruitment and Promotion Rules-2019 of the School Education Department for direct recruitment to the posts of Special Educator. Talking to mediapersons at Mantralaya, Nava Raipur in Atal Nagar today after the cabinet meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that the 36th cabinet meeting of CM Sai-led BJP government in State Capital was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at Mantralaya, in which some important decisions were taken. Cabinet has decided to provide one-time relaxation in the provisions of the Recruitment and Promotion Rules-2019 of the School Education Department for direct recruitment to the posts of Special Educator. It may be mentioned that the Finance Department, Government of Chhattisgarh has given permission to the Education Department, Government of Chhattisgarh to recruit 100 special educators in State.
 
Relaxing the Recruitment Rules-2019 of the Education Department, the Cabinet approved direct recruitment to the posts of Special Educator once on the basis of merit instead of selection examination, he added. The Cabinet has also taken an important decision to receive proposals from banks/financial institutions regarding providing short term loans against salary through financial institutions to meet the emergency financial needs of government servants. Taking a major decision in the interest of the disabled, the Cabinet took an important decision to refund the outstanding loan amount of Rs 24,50,05,457 of the National Divyangjan Finance and Development Corporation (NDFDC) in one lump sum.
 
The NDFDC provides loans to the handicapped people of the state for self-employment and education at a minimum interest rate of three percent, he said. The Deputy Chief Minister said that outgoing Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain was given farewell in the cabinet meeting and newly appointed Chief Secretary Vikas Sheel was welcomed in the cabinet meeting.
