This achievement is not only recognition of the tireless efforts of Dr Ratna Nashine, but is also a matter of pride and inspiration for every Chhattisgarh resident. As a reward, an amount of Rs 2.50 lakh has been given to College of Agriculture and Research Station Narayanpur and Rs 1.50 lakh has been given to Programme Officer Dr Ratna Nashine.
Programme Officer Dr Ratna Nashine and her team have conducted several awareness programmes in remote tribal villages of Narayanpur and Orchha blocks over the years, in which blood donation, ‘My Bharat Abhiyan Yatra’, tricolor in every house, drug de-addiction, road safety awareness programme and tree plantation were done and the villagers were informed about many schemes of the central government.
Especially in many villages of Narayanpur block, training programmes for organic farming were also conducted.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) of the Lingo Mudiyal Agricultural College and Research Station Narayanpur, operates in various villages in Narayanpur’s two blocks: Narayanpur and Orchha.
This area is predominantly tribal and rich in forests, and is dependent on them.
The villages here are economically weak due to malnutrition, anemia, traditional agriculture, etc. In light of all this, the Rashtriya Seva Yojana (RSY) unit has worked tirelessly under the Swachhata Abhiyan (Cleanliness Campaign) to raise awareness among the people about plastic-free living and cleanliness.
