A horrifying murder in the capital city has left residents in shock after the blood-soaked body of 23-year-old nurse Priyanka Das was found in her rented room near Lalpur Patel Chowk under the Tikrapara Police Station area. Police has detained a suspect named Durgesh Verma in custody for interrogation in the case. According to police, the incident appears to be linked to a love triangle dispute. The accused, believed to be involved in the killing, has been detained and is under interrogation. Preliminary investigations reveal that Priyanka was friends with Durgesh and had been in a long-term friendship with another man, Sunny, from Chirmiri, for the past seven years. Police sources said Priyanka had been having frequent disputes with her boyfriend.

 

The victim reportedly suffered three stab wounds to the chest and a knife was found in her hand, suggesting that she may have tried to defend herself during the attack. Originally from Chirmiri district, Priyanka had been residing in a rented room at Pachpedi Naka for the past month while working as nursing staff at MMI Hospital. The crime was discovered when her roommate returned from night shift and found the gruesome scene. Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity, and a forensic team has been called in to gather evidence. Authorities believe the murder occurred late at night.
