Rs 6-7 cr cash recovered during IT raid on Khara

 

 

 

The Income Tax raid being carried out at the premises of Nitin Khara, led by Confidence Petroleum India Ltd, in the city and Mumbai from Tuesday morning, continued till Thursday evening. Sources told The Hitavada that the Income Tax officers have so far recovered Rs 6-7 crore in cash, jewellery and other valuables.

 

The raids are being simultaneously conducted in Mumbai and Nagpur targeting offices and residences of the promoters of the company located in Ramdaspeth and Ganeshpeth. Initially a team of about 75 officers and employees was conducting the raids. However, on Wednesday, more officers and employees joined the team. The sources said that the officers covered two to three new locations in the city and the raid is likely to continue even on Friday.
