SARASWATI Kanya Sangh (SKS) eves qualified for semi-finals of the Inter-Club Senior District Basketball Championship in progress at NBYS Bajaj Nagar, on Thursday. SKS proved their supremacy to beat ESKM 38-14 to compete the semi-final line-up. The quarter-wise scored read 8-2, 12-6, 10-4, 8-2. Hosts NBYS, DKM and Phoenix had already made it to the last-four stage. In their inconsequential last match, DKM beat PBG 36-9 (7-3, 8-4, 17-2, 4-0) with Dhara Phate scoring a dozen points for the winners.

 

In the men’s section, Nutan Bharat Yuwak Sangh A, Shivaji Nagar Gymkhana (SNG), GRC Kamptee, Navyuwak Krida Mandal (NKM), Phoenix Sports Academy, Dharampeth Krida Mandal (DKM), Hanuman Nagar Krida Mandal (HKM) and Nagpur Amateur Sports Association (NASA) qualified for the quarter-finals. RESULTS (all league matches) Men: NBYS A (Anant Jadhav 12) bt GKM (Devendra Rathore 9) 58-29 (22-10, 11-5, 15-8, 10-6); NKM (Himanshu Shende 21, Pranay Bhagat 20) bt NBYS-B (Shreyash Deshpande 21, Shourya 12) 76-74 (21-12, 19-22, 7-7, 15-21 OT 14-12); SNG (Shashank Ghadge 15, Ajay Pande 10) bt NASA (Prajwal Choudhary 15) 11-14, 12-12, 13-7, 20-11).
