VI reached semi-finals of Team Silver Event in the HCL International Bridge Championships underway at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel in New Delhi, on Saturday.
 
As many as 88 teams are taking part in the 9-day mega event that culminates on October 14. The total prize money for the event is a whopping Rs 4 crore. In a hard-fought quarter-final, Nagpur were lagging for most of the time against Rajan, who ended league phase as toppers.
 
When they were trailing by 9 points with three boards to go, Anil Mohota on board 24, pulled off a 3NT and gained a 4 IMP lead with two boards to go. The team is captained by Arun Puranik and includes Mahesh Mor, Sameer Roy, Mohota and Makrand Luley. This is their second major semi-finals in less than a month at an international level.
