Bhoomipujan of new Administrative Building of the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Research and Training Institute (MAHAJYOTI) held on Sunday
“The new training centre of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Research and Training Institute (MAHAJYOTI) will strengthen the students from Other Backward Classes (OBC) and will allow them to fulfil their dreams,” said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis during the Bhoomipujan ceremony of MAHAJYOTI in the premises of Niyojan Bhavan, Sadar, on Sunday.
Chandrashekhar Bawankule, State Revenue Minister and Guardian Minister; Atul Save, Minister of Other Backward Bahujan Welfare; Adv Ashish Jaiswal, Minister of State; Shamkumar Barwe, Member of Parliament, Ramtek; Pravin Datke, Krishna Khopde, Vikas Thakre, Charansingh Thakur, Ashish Deshmukh, Sanjay Meshram, all MLAs; Parinay Fuke, MLC; Dr Vipin Itankar, District Collector; and Milin Naringe, Managing Director, MAHAJYOTI, were present for the programme.
Chief Minister Fadnavis, in his address, underscored the various schemes the State Government has launched for the betterment of the OBC community.
“The Government is providing funds for training, self-employment, and running of MAHAJYOTI for the bright future of OBC youths,” said Fadnavis. He also added that the students getting trained at MAHAJYOTI are achieving great success in MPSC, UPSC and other competitive exams. He also reiterated the State Government’s commitment for the betterment of the OBC community.
Chandrashekhar Bawankule, in his address, credited Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for the new administrative building and training centre of MAHAJYOTI in Nagpur. He said, “The groundbreaking for the administrative building is not only the base of the new building but also the start of academic progress.”
Atul Save, in his address, underlined the importance of the new building of MAHAJYOTI.
“The new building will be a confluence of education, values and research. The building will have residential facilities for 248 students along with a library, counselling cell, training room, and canteen,” stated Atul Save. He also informed us that a fund of Rs 174 Cr has been sanctioned for the construction of a training centre at Nashik.
Milind Naringe made the introductory remarks. Dinesh Masodkar compered the programme, while Prashant Wavge, Chief Accounts Officer, proposed a vote of thanks.
