Three children drown in pond

 

 

AMID the festive cheer of Chhoti Diwali, tragedy struck Hirolipara village under Padeda Gram Panchayat when three children drowned in a pond near the village. The incident has cast a shadow of grief over the entire area. According to information, the three children had gone to bathe in the pond located close to the village. While playing in the water, they accidentally slipped into the deeper section and drowned. The victims were identified as Manita Hapka (5), Naveen Hapka (3), and Dinesh Korsa (3).

 

On receiving information, villagers rushed to the spot and pulled the children out, but by then it was too late. Padeda Gram Panchayat Sarpanch’s husband Kailash Korsa said that the children were taken to the health centre where doctors declared them brought dead. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. The tragic incident on Chhoti Diwali has left the village in deep mourning, with family members inconsolable and the entire community expressing shock and sorrow.
