Light rains predicted in some parts of Vidarbha for next couple of days

 

 

 

 

The Northeast Monsoon is partially dominating the presence of winter chill in October so far as the city is mostly witnessing cloudy skies, restricting the minimum temperature from dropping. However, on Friday evening, the city witnessed sudden light showers that changed the weather.

 

Friday was mostly dominated with hot weather and humidity in the afternoon. However, the light showers in some parts helped to reduce the day temperature by 1-2 degrees Celsius and also cooled down the night. India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted light showers in some parts of Vidarbha in coming days due to northeast monsoon. According to Weather Department, Wardha, Bhandara and Gondia districts will receive light rain for the next two days and cloudy weather will remain in all other parts of Vidarbha including Nagpur for the next 2-3 days.

 

 The winter chill will start dominating Vidarbha region in the second week of November and till then, the impact of northeast monsoon will persist. On Friday, Wardha (6 mm), Buldhana (4 mm), Gadchiroli (2 mm) and Amravati (1 mm) also received light rains. Despite light rains the maximum temperature in all over Vidarbha remained above 30.0 degrees Celsius on Friday. However, the night temperature dropped by 1-2 degrees Celsius in most of the parts of the region.
