The Ashoka Garden Police in Bhopal has successfully cracked a sensational blind murder case linked to a financial dispute. A man brutally murdered his friend, wrapped the body in a sack, and dumped it in a drain. Police arrested the accused within hours by scrutinising over 300 CCTV footage clips. On October 21, a disfigured male body, with its throat slit by a sharp weapon, was found wrapped in a sack near the 80 feet drain in the Ashoka Garden area.
The deceased was identified as Saeed alias Bhannat, who had previously been reported missing at the Hanumanganj Police Station. During interrogation, the accused, Aamir Qureshi (26), a resident of Qazi Camp, confessed to the crime. He revealed that he had borrowed approximately Rs 2 lakh from the victim, Saeed. Saeed was constantly pressuring him to return the money and issuing threats. Frustrated by this, Aamir planned the murder.
On October 17, Aamir invited Saeed to his house. When an argument over the money escalated, Aamir attacked Saeed with a pair of scissors, stabbing him repeatedly in the neck and chest. He then used a knife to slit his throat, killing him instantly.
After the murder, around 2 am, Aamir wrapped the body in a plastic sack, loaded it onto his blue battery-operated e-rickshaw, and dumped it near the drain. The police have recovered the scissors, knife, and the e-rickshaw used in the crime based on the information provided by the accused.
