The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation has completed all necessary arrangements across the city for the grand celebration of Chhath Puja, the festival of Surya Upasana (Sun worship), to be observed in Sanskardhani on October 27 and 28 with devotion, enthusiasm and traditional fervour. Municipal Commissioner Ramprakash Ahirwar informed that nodal and divisional officers appointed by the JMC have conducted field inspections in their respective areas to ensure that every facility at the designated ghats and ponds is properly organised and functional. He added that the city is fully prepared to celebrate the festival of faith with grandeur, joy and discipline. Municipal Commissioner Ahirwar stated that special attention has been given to beautification of the ghats, where attractive paintings and colourful rangolis will add to the festive ambiance.
 
The JMC administration has already completed major preparatory works, while the remaining finishing touches are being swiftly carried out. He said extensive arrangements have been made at Gaurighat, Tilwaraghat, Kalighat, Jilehrighat, Adhartal, Hanumantal, Gulaua, Manegaon, Old Kanchanpur Pond, SAF Pond (Ranjhi), Manegaon Pond, Eastland Khamaria Pond, Udaynagar Pond, Hanuman Mandir Teen Pulia (New Kanchanpur), Housing Board Colony Maharajpur, Chandamari Talaiya, Telegraph Colony (Ranital), Sanjeevani Nagar Shahi Talab, Madhai Talab and several other worship sites. At these locations, the Municipal Corporation has ensured extensive cleanliness drives, installation of lights, changing rooms for devotees and other essential facilities for the smooth conduct of rituals during both evening and morning Arghya (offerings).
 
Ahirwar informed that special teams of officers and employees have been deployed to monitor arrangements and maintain strict coordination. He said that the JMC administration is committed to providing a clean, safe and comfortable environment for thousands of devotees expected to participate in the celebrations. The Municipal Commissioner reviewed all arrangements in detail and instructed the on-ground staff to remain alert and maintain complete readiness during the two-day festival to ensure that devotees can perform the holy Surya Arghya rituals with utmost convenience, safety and devotion.
