THE Nagpur Chamber of Commerce Limited’s (NCCL) Diwali meet concluded here at Maharaj Bag Club on Saturday with great enthusiasm. On the occasion, the chamber presented NCCL Awards for the year 2025 to Sachin Pachisia, Chairman of Glass Guard India Pvt Ltd (from industry sector); Sanjay Mohod of Atharva Tyres Pvt Ltd (from trade sector); and Hiralal (Hiru) Paliwal of Paliwal Caterers (from service sector). Dr Pankaj Bhoyar, Maharashtra Minister of State, was the chief guest of the function. At the outset, NCCL President Kailash Jogani welcomed the guests and spoke about the activities of the body.
 
He stated that the NCCL is the oldest chamber of commerce in Central India, established in 1932. He also stated that the Income Tax exemptions along with GST-2 would boost the economy. This year’s Diwali business was approximately 25 to 30 per cent higher than the previous year. The chamber also raised various issues faced by traders including labour laws, power generation, encroachment in local markets, traffic, increasing drug availability, and cybercrime.
 
Minister of State Pankaj Bhoyar assured the chamber of resolving all issues at the earliest possible. Bhoyar stated that the Maharashtra Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, is committed to bringing more industries to Nagpur and Vidarbha. Bhoyar commended the Nagpur Chamber of Commerce’s awards ceremony and advised the chamber to jointly work with the authorities for drug prohibition and reduce cybercrime. He presented awards to the winners and welcomed representatives from various associations with bouquets. Former presidents Govind Pasari and Vivek Murarka jointly conducted the proceedings of the function while the formal vote of thanks was proposed by Secretary Tarun Nirban. Guests and awardees were introduced by Vijay Jaiswal, Vasant Paliwal, Abhishek Maheshwari, and Nikhil Kankani.
