WCR’s begins observing ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’

On the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, West Central Railway is observing ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ from October 27 to November 2, 2025. This year’s theme is “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.” To mark the occasion, a pledge ceremony was held at West Central Railway Headquarters. General Manager Shobhana Bandopadhyay, along with AGM, Pramod Kumar Khatri, senior departmental heads, officers and employees, took an oath to uphold integrity, transparency, and commitment toward the elimination of corruption in all areas of work. While administering the oath, GM, Bandopadhyay emphasized that the purpose of Vigilance Awareness Week is to promote integrity and accountability among citizens and employees.
 
She also stressed the importance of completing tasks within stipulated timelines to ensure efficiency and transparency. The ceremony was attended by senior officials including Principal Chief Engineer Ashutosh, Principal Chief Operations Manager Kushal Singh, Principal Chief Commercial Manager Manish Tiwari, Principal Chief Materials Manager Manoj Kumar Gupta, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer Mukesh, Chief Administrative Officer (Construction)/RSP Prabhat Kumar, Principal Chief Personnel Officer SD Patidar, Principal Financial Advisor Manjit Kaur, Principal Chief Security Commissioner Rajeev Kumar Yadav, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer M. Vijay Kumar, Principal Chief Medical Director Dr. Shyam Sundar, Principal Chief Safety Officer Praveen Khorana, Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) MS Hashmi and Secretary to GM Rahul Jaipuriyar and others were present. The event was coordinated by Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer Anil Kumar Tiwari, under the guidance of the Senior DGM and Chief Vigilance Officer. Similar pledge ceremonies were also organized in the Jabalpur, Bhopal and Kota divisions.
