For the past 10 years, Devta Life Foundation, a non governmental organisation (NGO), has been working for the kids below 12 years who are suffering from cancer. The NGO also organises various event for these affected kids throughout the year. On the occasion Diwali, the NGO observed ‘Diwali Milan’ with the kids and their parents. The NGO gave gifts and other essential items to the kids and celebrated the festival at an event held at Sita Ram Bhawan, The Dharampeth Mahila Multi State Co-op Society in Dharampeth. Kishor Bawne, a social activist and President of the foundation; Kasturi Bawne, Vice President; Nilima Bawne, Director; Kiran Chanore; Aarti Ahirrao; Shripad Khanwalkar; Rashmi Shahu; Ankita Babre; and others were also present on the occasion. The foundation was established to promote welfare activities aimed at the alleviation of human suffering and overall amelioration of society especially for the poor. In addition to this, the foundation also creates awareness on various issues related to blood donation.
