Happiness is always collective

T he true purpose of human life is to blossom in happiness, and to live with joy. But this happiness is not found in isolation. It thrives, when it is shared. Good gestures and kind words are found to have immense positive vibes. Studies have found that good relationships and connections are the foundation of happiness and health. Aristotle had remarked that humans are social animals. Ancient traditions have always emphasized community living. The famous Vedic MantraSangachhadhwam -- highlights the significance of togetherness. The Sangha concept of Buddhism has deep roots in the collective consciousness.

Every community encourages dining together. It adds more taste to the food. Festivals and occasions are celebrated together. Numerous research in neuroscience has proved that deeper connections lead to joy and happiness. Neuroscientific findings have confirmed that the human brain is wired to be happy in community. In addition to it, physical needs and safety requirements are heavily dependent upon the communities. It has been observed that better connections with the community boosts self esteem. Social scientists have discovered that community living helps in quick recovery from all types of ailments. The Satsanga or the company of spiritually evolved persons is considered mandatory for self upliftment. Research has found that the safety and security of the society are based upon collective happiness.

If the majority of the population is not happy, the society will be torn by violence and strife. Spending time in silene or solitude is also intended to be connected to the cosmic consciousness. Indian traditions are far ahead in declaring- Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, let everyone be happy. Again the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the entire global is one family also emanates from the same concept of collective happiness. According to neuroscience, emotions are neurochemically generated signals. They again pass through the process of electrochemical interaction.

These interactions are generated at deeper levels by quantum mechanics. Many astrophysicists opine that consciousness arises from quantum coherence. So emotions are shaped not only by classical neural reactions, but equally by quantum superimposition. It has been called quantum entanglement. So the emotions of one person resonate with the emotions of others even without physical contact at the quantum scale. The nervous system of one person is always in sync with the nervous systems of others . Emotions are energy. Hence they have their vibrations and frequencies. So they keep on travelling and impacting others.

They carry their vibrational signature. This is the reason that both happiness and sadness are contagious. So if more people are happy, the society will be happy. The best way to generate collective happiness is to address the problems at physical, mental, intellectual and emotional levels. In addition to the satisfaction of physical needs, persons need to be trained in Yoga and Emotional Intelligence to calm their mind , make it more creative, and regulate their emotions. People should learn how to manage anger , fear and stress. Only in that case empathy and compassion will be built, leading to the transformation of a society which will be peaceful and worth enjoying.
