Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav inaugurated the Collector-Commissioner Conference at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium on Tuesday, urging all the public servants to work with full dedication for inclusive and overall development of Madhya Pradesh. Addressing the officials, the Chief Minister said that governance must operate in mission mode, with coordination between administration, public representatives, and the community.
Dr Yadav said the real goal of governance is to bring development and welfare to the last person in the society. “Trust of people is our greatest asset. We must preserve and strengthen it at all costs,” he stated. He emphasised the need to simplify and decentralise the system to ensure faster delivery of Government benefits.
Highlighting Madhya Pradesh’s achievements, the Chief Minister said the State leads in production of pulses, spices and tomatoes and is now working to become the dairy capital of India. He stressed on the importance of improving irrigation to boost farmer income. He also emphasised providing high-quality, value-based education in line with the National Education Policy 2020 and improving school enrolment rates.
Dr Yadav urged all the field officers to increase ground-level engagement, conduct regular inspections and strengthen public grievance redressal systems. He called for verified and timely responses to misleading news, especially on social media and for actively sharing welfare activities through digital platforms. Looking ahead to Simhastha 2028, he directed officers to begin preparations for promoting the State’s spiritual and cultural heritage, ensuring heritage sites are developed to attract global visitors. He said this will create employment and boost the State’s economy.
Chief Secretary Anurag Jain said the State is working on ‘Viksit Madhya Pradesh @2047’ vision inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with a focus on a prosperous and culturally rich Madhya Pradesh. He informed that action points from the conference will guide future strategies, with more frequent reviews and sectoral field visits by officials.
Senior officers including Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, collectors and commissioners participated in the conference.
