Nagpur Police register FIR against Bachchu Kadu, Raju Shetty and 2,000 protestors
THE farmers’ agitation under MahaElgar Rally, led by Prahar Janshakti Party President and former Minister Bachchu Kadu, ended on Friday. Kadu came to Nagpur on Friday morning after meeting Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. From the Airport, he went to the venue where farmers were gathered and planned the future course of action. Assuring farmers that he will pursue the matter with the Government, Kadu ended the agitation.
The rally that had started from Amravati reached Nagpur two days back after which ‘rasta roko’ was launched.
The agitation had led to a massive traffic chaos in Nagpur. Taking suo motu action, the vacation bench of Justice Rajnish Vyas at the High Court took note of the ‘rasta roko’ and
the damage caused to public property. Kadu had then withdrawn the agitation on Wednesday, October 29.
Speaking to farmers on Friday, Kadu assured farmers that he would see to it that every needy farmer in the State gets debt-free. “This year, the farmers who suffered losses due to heavy rains also need loan waiver. Today, it has become difficult for them to meet their production costs. The struggle for survival is on. For these, time has been given till June 30 for loan waiver. After March 31, 2026, all farmers will get arrears of the aid for losses due to rains. Police register FIR against Kadu and others. Meanwhile, Nagpur Police have registered FIR against Bachchu Kadu, Raju Shetty and 2,000 others under related sections of law for the ‘rasta roko’ staged by the protestors at Wardha Road which lead to traffic chaos making people suffered for two days.
