BHILAI’S leading social organisation, ‘Team Disha’,
demonstrated a fine example of humanity and compassion by organising a service and awareness
drive at the Old Age Homes located in Sector-8
and Sector-2, as well as at ‘Feel Parmarth
Foundation’, Sector-3, Bhilai — a shelter home providing refuge to mentally challenged and homeless individuals.
During the visit, Team Disha members distributed diapers, detergent powder, disinfectants,
phenyl, and other essential daily-use items among
the elderly and residents of the shelter homes.
Speaking on the occasion, Sudha stated that the
objective of this initiative was to maintain cleanliness, safety, and a healthy environment at the
shelter homes, while spreading a sense of dignity, belonging, and affection among the residents.
Engineer Amit Raj, administrator of Feel Parmarth
Foundation, appreciated the noble efforts of Team
Disha. Senior member Bhaskar Debnath remarked,
“The smile of a needy person is the greatest reward
for any act of service.” Sujit Chakraborty, Dr Suresh
Sharma and Shantanu Dasgupta also spoke on the
occasion. In conclusion, Jawahar, Uttam Dey, Ajay
Dubey, and Kalyan Roy jointly stated, “Cleanliness
is service, and service is devotion.
