Tanay Sharma, a promising student from Bhilai, has showcased his eloquence and parliamentary skills at the national level. Outperforming over 100 participants from across the country, Tanay won the prestigious title of ‘Best Parliamentarian’ at the Young India Parliamentary Debate Finals. Tanay a student at Rungta Public School had previously won gold medals at the district level in Rajnandgaon and state level at Jamshedpur. His logical presentation, policy depth, and confidence at the national finals impressed
the judges.
It needs a mention here that Tanay’s mother, Shweta Sharma, is a senior official at NIC Durg and father is Dr Raghavendra Sharma and they are resident
of New Khursipar Bhilai.
His parents expressed pride in their son’s success. The principal and teachers of RPS also described Tanay as a rising star of parliamentary debate. Tanay’s victory has become an example for the youth of Bhilai and Chhattisgarh. Locals are congratulating him on social media with the hashtags #TanaySharmaPride and #BhilaiKaGaurav.
Tanay dedicated his victory, saying, ‘This title belongs to my parents, teachers, and the people of Bhilai.
I want to be part of the generation of youth who strengthen parliamentary democracy.’ His plan is to represent India at the Oxford University Model United Nations.
