Vidarbha defeated Himachal Pradesh by six wickets to register their third win in the U-23 Men’s State ‘A’ Trophy in Jaipur on Wednesday.
In a fine all-round show, Vidarbha bowled out Himachal for 224 and then chased down the target with 22 balls to spare.
Arjun Ingle (3-4) was the pick of Vidarbha bowlers.
He was well-supported by Sahil Shiekh (3-53) and Pratham Maheshwari (2-36).
Vidarbha’s chase was fuelled by fine half-centuries from skipper Mohd Faiz (55) and Rohit Binkar (50).
Shree Choudhary chipped in with 40, while Jagjot Sasan (36*) and Varun Bisht (23*) saw their team home with an unfinished 37-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
Vidarbha have 12 points from five matches in Elite Group D.
