Collector warns of strict action against illegal paddy purchase or sale

 

 

 

Collector Dr Gaurav Singh reviewed the preparations and ongoing arrangements for paddy procurement in the district during a video conferencing meeting with nodal officers of all procurement centres on Thursday. The meeting was held in the Red Cross Society meeting room at the Collectorate.

 

Dr Singh instructed officials to ensure proper facilities at procurement centres, including availability of porters, drinking water for farmers, shaded waiting areas, verification of moisture machine software, and maintenance of strict law and order. The Collector warned that strict action will be taken if any case of illegal paddy purchase or sale comes to light. He directed officers to keep a close watch on such activities.

 

District Panchayat CEO Kumar Biswaranjan informed that every farmer must be recorded in the online gate pass software. If 15 to 20 tokens are issued at a centre, all corresponding entries must be made. He added that daily reviews will be conducted at the district level and instructed officials to ensure that each farmer’s photograph is uploaded in the gate pass system.

 

Additional Collector Kirtiman Singh Rathore, ADM Umashankar Bande, Raipur SDM Nandkumar Choubey, and other officials were present.
