Dr Nilesh Oak and Chandrachur Ghose Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sunil Ambekar believes that involvement of today’s youth in social media is not spoiling their life. Rather, the youth are going through a transition phase which is normal in every generation.
“Our generation witnessed the invention of television when every youth got addicted to it. Now, the same thing is going on with the current generation and this time it is social media,” said Ambekar while inaugurating the 7th Orange City Literature Festival
(OCLF) conducted by SGR Knowledge Foundation in association with Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) at Chitnavis Centre, Civil Lines on Friday.
“Everyone is worried about the influence of social media over the youth but I want to assure that today’s youth are more hungry to gather knowledge and this transition phase will also vanish soon like ours,” said Ambekar.
Advocating about current generation, the chief guest said, “Today’s youth are more patriotic and sensitive about their religion and culture.
It is good that the construction of Ayodhya Ram Mandir took place in the era of social media when Indian youth experienced it by their own. Ram Mandir is not just a temple. It is the physical evidence of Lord Ram who is an eternal part of our culture and religion.”
