An incident of severe vandalism and violence occurred in the Rohit Nagar Covered Campus under the Shahpura Police Station area late Thursday night, continuing into the early hours of Friday. A mob of 18 to 20 youths allegedly unleashed chaos and brutally beat four young men with sticks and rods.

The entire assault was captured on CCTV footage, which surfaced Friday night. Police reported that Shekhar, the son of resident Professor Vishakha Srivastava and her husband Sanjeev, along with his friends Akash, Vishal and Naval, had gone to Arera Hills around 2 am. There, their motorbike reportedly collided with a car, leading to a heated argument between the two groups.

Police Dial-112 intervened, separated the parties, and dropped Shekhar and his friends back home. However, the accused youths involved in the dispute pursued Shekhar back to his Rohit Nagar residence. Around 4 am, they arrived outside his house and began shouting threats, demanding Shekhar and his friends come out. Moments later, the mob of about 20 youths, carrying weapons and sticks, stormed the colony, surrounded the four young men, and launched a ferocious assault.

The footage shows multiple attackers continuously raining blows with sticks. Upon receiving news of the incident, Shahpura police arrived at the scene and transported the injured to the hospital. Police have seized the CCTV footage and registered an FIR against the unknown assailants, launching a search operation. Police affirmed that the attackers will be identified using the footage and stringent action will be taken.
