Accused absconding after killing woman nabbed, murder weapon seized

Omti Police have arrested the Rs 10,000 reward-carrying absconding accused for murder of young woman by stabbing her with a knife. The arrested has been identified as Golu alias Kuldeep Yadav (37), son of Tillu alias late Udaybhan Yadav, a resident of Udia Mohalla in Omti. It may be noted that on November 18, 2025, Omti Police received information that Muskan Yadav alias Mundy, resident of Udia Mohalla, had been attacked with a knife following an old dispute. She suffered serious injuries on her neck, shoulder and face and was rushed to Victoria Hospital. From there, she was referred to Medical College where doctors declared her brought dead. In further investigation, her father, Anand Yadav (52), a metal fabricator, lodged a complaint that the accused Golu Yadav was harassing Muskan for the past three to four months, repeatedly insisting her to talk with him.
 
On the morning of the incident, Muskan left home with her adopted younger brother Anant to buy biscuits. Within minutes, Anant came running back shouting that Golu was stabbing Muskan in the street. Anand rushed out and saw Golu repeatedly stabbing Muskan with the intention to kill her. The accused escaped from the spot with his knife. Muskan was taken to Victoria Hospital on an Activa scooter with help from her cousin Prince Yadav, but she succumbed to her injuries. Additional SP City Ayush Gupta (IPS) and FSL Officer Dr. Neeta Jain reached the spot. A case under Section 103(1) BNS was registered.
 
Taking a serious note into the case, SP, Upadhyay announced a cash reward of Rs 10,000 for arrest of the accused. Continuing a thorough search, police received information that the accused was planning to escape from the city and was hiding near Madan Mahal railway station. Acting promptly, police team started a search and arrested Golu alias Kuldeep Yadav. In his search, police seized a Chinese knife used in the murder, blood-stained jacket and T-shirt worn during the crime and a mobile handset snatched from the victim.
 
The accused was arrested with active working of police team led by SHO, Omti, Rajpal Singh Baghel, SI Shriram Sanodiya, Rajneesh Mishra, Shailendra Singh, Prashansa Tandia, ASI Sudhir Patel, Shivkumar Dahia, Head Constables Deepak Mishra, Joginder Singh, Mahendra Shukla, Constables Sunil Patel, Santosh Tekam, Hariom, Mithilesh, Pankaj Shole, Ankesh Bhardwaj, Neeraj Rathore, Ramnaresh Baghel, Pankaj Kourav, Women Constable Raju Baghel and Cyber Cell’s SI Kapoor Singh and Constable Ajay Singh.
