Nagpur bag Bapuna bridge title

 

 

Nagpur, led by M Mor, A Puranik, M Luley, M Dutta and R Saboo, bagged the prestigious Banu Bapuna Memorial Open Duplicate Bridge title on Sunday. The meet was organised by Vidarbha Bridge Association in their sports complex at Shankar Nagar. Team Mohota finished runners-up. The team included B Mohota, S Chhajed, R Deshpande, S Roy and A Mohota. More than 50 bridge players from Vidarbha region participated in four different events. Playwell emerged victorious in pairs progressive event. Their team consisted of father and son duo of Raja and Amit Rewatkar and Kumra brothers Neeraj and Sanjeev.

 

Mohota finished runners-up. Their team included B Mohota, S Chhajed, S Roy and A Mohota. In MP pairs event, M Mor and A Puranik clinched top honours. Ujjwal and Deepak pair walked away with second position. In IMP pairs event, M Mor and A Puranik emerged victorious. Rewatkars and Basuri-Khan duo shared runners-up position. Anilkumar Mohota and Amit Rewatkar were the tournament directors for this brain game. Attractive cash prizes were awarded to all the winners. Parheez Gimi distributed trophies and prizes.
