Sensation prevailed in Garhakota block when a youth was shot following the stopping of cattle laden truck near toll plaza. In the attack, youth identified as Ashish Dubey (33), who was a partner at a toll plaza, sustained a bullet wound after being shot by the other partner. His condition is reported to be stable undergoing treatment at hospital in Sagar. According to police, Ashish Dubey, resident of Gayatri Nagar, Makronia (Sagar) was sitting inside the office of the Chanatoria toll plaza on Garhakota Road. At that time, a call came on the phone of the toll plaza manager, Ravi Upadhyay, from Rajendra Dubey, resident of Maddevara, Chhatarpur, currently living in Makronia. Rajendra, who claims to be a partner of the toll plaza, asked to speak to Ashish. As soon as Ashish came on the line, Rajendra began abusing him.
 
When Ashish objected, Rajendra arrived at the toll plaza in a car and threatened him, instructing him not to stop vehicles allegedly transporting cattle. When Ashish resisted, Rajendra took out a revolver and fired at him, hitting him in the stomach. Hearing the gunshot, toll plaza employees rushed to the spot and saw Ashish lying on the road, bleeding heavily and struggling in pain. They informed the police and rushed him to the hospital. Learning about the incident, police teams reached the spot and started a rigorous search for the accused.
