FIRE broke out in a manufacturing unit situated
in village Murmunda situated under the limits of
Kumhari Police Station on Sunday night. The fire
fighters had to struggle hard in dousing the fire as
a drum filled with chemical in the manufacturing
unit exploded and the structure also collapsed. It
took three hours for the firemen to bring the fire
completely under control and the no human casu
alty was reported in the incident.
Fire Brigade services informed that the fire broke
out in the mattress manufacturing unit (Shri Sai
Industries) owned by one Ashwini Verma. Upon
receiving information, six fire tenders were dis
patched to the village situated on Ahiwara Road.
Firemen attempted to douse the fire from four sides
and entered the factory premises while ultimate
ly using several water tenders to douse the fire
completely.
They had to also deal with the unexpected sit
uations like collapse of structure during their fire
extinguishing bid. The police is investigating into
the probable causes behind the fire outbreak. Emergency services staff,
