MAYANK Jain, a native of steel
city and currently serving Hindi
language in the United States,
and his organisation, ‘Hindi
USA St. Louis Branch,’ were
felicitated with two prestigious
honours at the Vishwa Hindi
Parishad’s historic International
Mahakumbh held in New Delhi.
His wife, Dr Anshu Jain, who
actively collaborates with
Mayank in the Hindi-USA ini
tiative in St.
Louis, gave a spe
cial presentation to represen
tatives
from India and
abroad, which received wide
spread praise.
This two-day international
event, titled ‘Symbol of
Nationalism and Humanity:
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya,’
was held at Vigyan Bhawan on
November 21-22 under the joint
auspices of the Vishwa Hindi
Parishad and the Indian Council
of Philosophical Research.
At
this conference, Mayank Jain,
coordinator of the American
organisation Hindi-USA and its
St. Louis branch, was honoured
with the ‘Hindi Seva Samman’
and ‘Hindi Pratik Chinh
Samman’ for his outstanding
contributions to the global spread of the Hindi language
and Indian culture. These honours were presented by
Ladakh’s Lieutenant Governor Kavindra Gupta.
Mayank Jain
and the Jain couple shared that this international confer
ence was attended by many inspiring personalities, includ
ing Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri Acharya Yarlagadda
Lakshmi Prasad, former Member of Parliament KC Tyagi,
Rajya Sabha Member Rekha Sharma, Professor
Sachchidanand Mishra, Dr. Vipin Kumar, Dr. Mahesh
Chandra Sharma, Dr. Shivshakti Nath Bakshi, Baldev
Purusharth, Professor Hemchandra Jain, Professor Yojna
Kalia, and professors and vice-chancellors from various
institutions, including Delhi University.
Mayank Jain, in his
presentation, explained that Hindi-USA was founded 25
years ago by Devendra Singh and Dr. Rachita Singh, whose
tireless efforts have led to Hindi-USA becoming a nation
al institution, with 29 Hindi-USA schools operating across
the United States.
