THE reign of terror by miscre
ants in the State capital has tak
en a dangerous turn. Following
vandalism and collective vio
lence, criminals have now start
ed targeting vehicles with arson.
The latest incident occurred in
Bairagarh Kalan in the Khajuri
area, where two parked cars
were set on fire around 2 am on
the intervening night of Sunday
and Monday.
Two cars set ablaze in mid
night attack: According to infor
mation received from the
Khajuri Police, Sunil
Vishwakarma (a pharma com
pany manager) of Mahakal
Colony, Bairagarh Kalan, had
his Baleno car parked outside
his house.
Around 2 am, his ten
ant, Neeraj Pal, raised an alarm,
waking-up Sunil. Upon going
outside, he found his Baleno car
engulfed in flames. They both
worked to extinguish the fire.
Simultaneously, they discovered
that the Brezza car belonging to
their neighbour, Durgesh
Jaiswal, was also on fire.
In this criminal act, Sunil’s
Baleno car was completely
destroyed, while the front part
(bonnet) of his neighbour’s
Brezza car was burnt. The trau
ma of the arson caused Sunil’s
daughter to fall ill, and she is
currently undergoing treatment
at a private hospital.
Masked criminal caught on
CCTV: Police have obtained
CCTV footage from cameras
near the crime scene. The
footage shows an unidentified
miscreant approaching from the
direction of Mahakal Mandir. It
is suspected that the polybag he
was carrying contained a flam
mable substance. However, the
criminal had covered their face
with a mask, preventing the
police from making a clear iden
tification. Police are working
intensively to identify and
apprehend the accused based
on the CCTV footage.
City residents are panicked
by the continuous series of van
dalism, hooliganism, and arson
incidents.
Citizens complain
that the police are missing from
the streets, allowing criminals
to commit crimes openly and
escape. The deteriorating law
and order situation is challeng
ing the police’s security claims.

vandalised a cafe and attacked
employees in the Misrod area.
Nov 20:Assailants, brandish
ing knives, vandalised vehicles in Raja
Bhoj Colony, Gandhi Nagar.
Nov 21: Over 20 miscreants
caused terror by vandalising
homes and vehicles in Viceroy
Colony, Shahpura.
November 22: Head
Constable Ram Avatar pub
licly assaulted two employees
at the Chetak Bike Showroom
on Narmadapuram Road.
November 23: 11 vehicles
were vandalised in Green Park
Colony, Gautam Nagar, report
edly due to refusal to pay ‘pro
tection money’ for parking.
Police Commissioner
Harinarayanachari Mishra has
claimed strict action against
miscreants. He stated, “Police
are strictly acting against
goons and miscreants. The
accused in all reported inci
dents have been apprehend
ed. Those who are abscond
ing will be caught soon.
